The gear oil additive formulas are based on 100% poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV and high-quality Group V synthetic oils. First time using this product our truck has 212k and this seems extremely smooth, before as we were loaded when we traveled from east coast to west coast we always are in cruise loaded or empty (65mph Loaded) as we went uphill in the past truck dropped 2 gears regardless of weight now we went did the same route and it dropped 1 gear only so to me its a winner

Detroit transmissions use synthetic lubricant that meets the requirements of the MB 235.11 specification. Unfortunately, our ATF fluids are much too thin for this application, and do not meet that specification. Thanks!
