BLUE DIAMOND SEVERE DUTY TRANSMISSION FLUID was formulated for severe-duty applications. The formulas are based on 100% poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV and high-quality Group V synthetic oils, infused with our FR3 Nano Technology, that protects against the major causes of transmission breakdown and helps extend transmission life. I know Blue Diamond Multi-Vehicle ATF Severe Duty can replace Mercon LV.Is it also safe to use the Blue Diamond TF/C4 in place of Mercon LV? I’ve been using Stiction Eliminator, Extreme Diesel, EDT & FR3 and I’m very impressed with the results and performance of my truck after using these products.

i bought this to put in my 1996 7.3l ZF5 stick shift that everyone knows calls for automatic fluid, well needless to say I can tell a slight difference in how smooth the transmission shifts when shifting, in mixture with green diamond 5w40 full synthetic engine oil and about to change the rear diff fluid and add FR3 in the gear oil, only time will tell with all 3 together

Your 2016 Chevy Duramax has an Allison 1000 six – speed transmission with the DEXRON VI fluid specification. Our blue diamond severe duty ATF exceeds the specifications of DEXRON VI and will be fine to use in your vehicle.

We do not offer a transmission fluid that meets your vehicles specification currently; however we are in the process of possibly formulating a fluid that meets that specification.

After looking further into the transmission and the specifications surrounding it, you can use our Blue Diamond Severe Duty Transmission Fluid. Transmissions that require the TES 295, TES 389, or DEX III specs are all compatible with DEX VI fluid which our Blue Diamond meets. The GM manufactured Allison 1000 (pre 2005) required TES 295 and the Allison made Allison 1000 (post 2005) required TES 389. Both specifications are backwards compatible with DEXRON VI. I apologize for the previous response.
