Blue Diamond PAO 10W-30 is a 100% pure poly-α-olefin (PAO) Group IV synthetic oil that requires a very small amount of viscosity improvers to meet the weight specifications. The infusion of our patented FR3 Nano-Technology and CK-4 additive package provides unsurpassed levels of longevity and performance while keeping the oil cleaner longer and providing better mileage and horsepower.
Blue Diamond PAO 10W-30 is a fully formulated CK-4 motor oil with high detergency, exceptional oxidation and thermal stability that prevents deposit formation and oil breakdown making longer drain intervals possible. In addition to exceeding the API CK-4 specification, Blue Diamond PAO 10W-30 meets the requirements from Ford for added wear protection as stated in Ford Specification WSS-M2C171-F1. Not all CK-4 specification oils meet both the CK-4 and the Ford specification.

Did my oil change 8,000 miles ago, oil life at 50%, mostly highway miles, no towing. Quick runs to see Dad in Florida (from Virginia). I use EDT, Blue Diamond, I am putting the gear oil in as well as changing the transfer case fluid with the Transmission fluid. I use Gas Extreme, stiction eliminator, and trans conditioner in my other vehicle. My most recents trips include two round trip from Virginia Beach to Orlando and back, 2,000 miles…averaged 23 miles both trips to the gallon. And, a trip to get a car for my son, empty going, car and car transport trailer returning…through the Shenandoah Mountains, 19 miles to the gallon. All in a Ram 3500 with the 6.7. I don’t see a need for any other product other than HSS.

Best Oil Out There
Scott Woodall (verified owner) –
Blue Diamond line of oil is the only oil I’ve used in my 2019 F350, bear in mind this was my first diesel truck and I did extensive research. HSS already includes the FR3 additive in the oil and its one of the few true PAO4 oils out there. I installed bypass oil filter and have run Blue Diamond oil since my first oil change in truck. I’m sure I could get an oil analysis done and run the oil for extended oil change intervals, but I still change the oil every 15-20K miles. Some people go 75-100K between changes. I’m comfortable with 15-20K so that’s what I do. Also use HSS EDT, Diesel Extreme, and Gasoline Extreme in gas vehicles. This is one of the few companies you can actually believe in, they do good R&D, and don’t bullshit you with snake oil products. If you love diesel trucks I would highly recommend you listen to America’s Diesel Podcast and The Diesel Podcast. There are a few episodes where Hot Shot Secret is the guest and they explain in DETAIL (not put you to sleep detail, mind you), how their products work, research behind it and how they compare to other products. Very interesting listening if you are driving, doing yard work, working out and want to listen to a podcast.

Since using my truck runs smoother and seems like you hear less engine noise.

Question
Dustin –
I recently change oil in my 2013 6.7 power stroke with this oil. And running empty on a short trip about 5 miles noticed the oil temp is considerably higher. Normal range was 130/150 and now it’s running 180?

R&D –
Keep in mind this oil is designed to flow at certain temps, and has a much much higher operating temp. Thanks!
