I have a late model 5.0 F150 FX4, the mileage increased slightly with this package, but the noticeable difference was the “Sewing Machine” noise of the engine decreased dramatically. I use quality synthetic oil and still have the SM noise at idle. Ford says not to worry,.”it’s normal”. Well, not any longer after the FR3 treatment. Everything that I use from HSS has performed above the claims, everything thing with an engine has some form of HSS in the fuel, oil or hydraulic system. I trust their claims and that is not something you can say about every company today.
