AVOIDING OIL LEVEL SENSOR HARNESS DAMAGE DURING LOWER OIL PAN INSTALLATION
Details
SERVICE INFORMATION
The oil level sensor harness may be damaged during lower oil pan installation, causing an inoperable oil level sensor. A misrouted oil level sensor harness in the oil pan may interfere with the oil pickup tube during lower oil pan installation and become damaged. When replacing the oil level sensor, install the pass through connector (2) so that the wire is positioned horizontally to prevent interference with the oil pickup pipe during oil pan installation.
