Stiction Eliminator is definitely compatible with gas engines, with great results (see reviews below).

The TSE is a completely different ester-based formula, designed specifically for using in automatic transmissions. Hope that helps, Luke!

Stiction Eliminator, awesome I believed it clean up veins in turbo – diesel Extreme cleaned my injectors, I’m currently using EDT on fill-up, performance is very noticeable. Going to try FR3 on next oil change. Like to mate it with Blue Diamond oil, but out of stock right now.

    Question

2005 Mustang 4.0 V/6 5-Speed with 115K miles, bought recently, oil is black, but prior owner swears they have only used Mobil 1 full synthetic since new…
    1. Should I do an 5 quart oil/filter change using a conventional oil, while substituting 1 quart Stiction Eliminator?

    2. How long should I run that before doing another oil/filter change, as I eventually want the oil clean when I pull the dipstick.

Or will I need to do multiple conventional oil (lower cost) changes with Stiction Eliminator before going back to using Mobil 1 full synthetic to achieve “clean” oil on dipstick DURING oil change interval ?

    3. Any other suggestions?
    Thanks!

Hi Lance, the black oil does not necessarily point to an issue, and only an oil analysis would show for sure.
      1. Please replace 16 oz of oil with Stiction Eliminator at a fresh oil change (the initial treatment for that engine).
      2. You are good to run your normal oil change mileage-interval with conventional oil before servicing, and replacing with Mobile 1 at that point (Stiction Eliminator will work most efficiently with a full synthetic, however).
      3. Like I eluded to above, it is highly recommended to do an oil analysis before, after, and possibly a 3rd time depending how the first 2 results look. Feel free to call our technicians if you have any other questions, thanks!

    Question

I added four quarts to a nearly fresh oil change on my 09 KW with 850,000 miles. I found out later that day that my mechanic had added 2 gal or Lucas oil stabilizer to my oil change. Will this damage the engine or do I need to drain it?

Hi Bryan, generally we do NOT recommend mixing oil additives, but in your case it will be ok. Very low chance for any damage since Lucas oil stabilizer is essentially a thick oil; petroleum based with very few additives.

    Question

I have an 2004.5 Dodge, 5.9 Cummins with 339,000 miles on it. I found your Stiction Eliminator product on the internet and I am considering using it. When is the best time to add Stiction Eliminator, just before an oil change or at an oil change? I use extended drain times on my oil changes. How long should you run Stiction Eliminator in your oil before changing it? How much do I use? My engine requires 12 quarts at an oil change. Thank you.

      Admin (verified owner)

Hello Gary. Please use 2 quarts of Stiction Eliminator replacing 2 quarts of oil at a fresh oil change. You are fine with extended drains and leaving Stiction Eliminator in the oil, whether it’s 3,000 or 20,000 miles; the longer it’s in the oil, the more it will continue to clean! (as long as you are routinely analyzing the health, TBN, etc.)

    5 out of 5 WOW!

    (verified owner)

I own an 07 F250 6.0L, and I was dealing with hard starts, and rough idle. I thought I would give the Stiction Elminator and the Blue Diamond oil a try. I was very sceptical at first, but the next morning when I started my truck, there was an instant change in the initial idle, and was missing just a little till it warmed up. On day 2, there was no missing at all. I purposely started my truck and started to drive it to test it. To my amazement, my truck ran perfect! No rough idle, no hard starts. I gained 3 miles per gal, and noticeable horsepower gain immediately. If you have your doubts, like I did, there is no need! I’m still amazed, and will forever run Blue Diamond and Stiction Elminator in my truck!

    Smell?

I used the eliminator in my 2016 f250 power stroke as a preventative. Truck has 120k miles with no issues. Added 2 qts with my oil change and with in 20 miles I noticed an odd smell. Standing outside the truck at an idol, there is a strong smell that burns the eyes. Any thought?
FYI. Truck egr and dpf is deleted.

I recently purchased a 2008 Ford Ranger with only 28K miles. It only has a 4 cylinder engine and runs a little ruff. From my mower, my Outboard motor, to all 4 of my cars.

Thanks for adjusting the formula to work in gasoline engines

    (verified owner)

I’ve been waiting a long time for a product that would keep the gunk from building up in those tiny oil passages in the rocker arms and lifters of overhead cam engines. The only actual result I can post is a ticking valve at cold start up that took a licking and stopped ticking. The reviews are good, but most of my trust comes from the informative interviews on “Americas Trucking Network” and comments from people I’ve come to know and trust. It’s in my 3 cylinder diesel tractor taking care of business. Thanks Chris.

5 out of 5 Stiction Eliminator

I have been using stiction eliminator and diesel extreme in my 99 7.3 for the past year. Before using your product I was averaging 14-15.2 mpg, I have changed the oil every 5k miles and add the fuel treatment every 10k. Every time the mileage and performance has went up (this morning the truck averaged 19 mpg, IMO, not bad at all for a 1 ton dually, 4:10 gearing with a 4 speed tranny). I could not be happier with the product. I have also used both products in my daughters 2002 duramax (had an injector issue), after running the stiction eliminator I noticed almost immediately that the problem cleared up significantly. Thank you very much for this product. I would recommend (and have) your products to everyone. My next tranny flush I plan on using the TSE, and will review that. Once again, thank you for a great product.

I bought a 2000 Duramax that stopped running. A mechanic I trust and others said diagnosed that some injectors were stuck open because there was a lot of fuel in the oil pan. First step suggested was to replace all injectors and then see if the fuel pump was good.

I can only get the truck to started by spraying starter fluid into air intake and keep it running with intermittent bursts. I can also keep it running with propane gas going into intake.

Do you think stiction eliminator could fix injectors stuck open and bring the truck back to life?

    Question

Hello, I have a question regarding HSS in the 6.0 powerstroke. Initially ran the 2 qts in my first oil change + 13 qts T6 5w40. Next change, I ran a maintenance qt second oil change + 14 qts T6 5w40. Did not run it next oil change only 15 qts T6. Now this past weekend, I changed to Valvoline Premium Blue Extreme 5w40 14 qts + 1 qt. HSS. My plan was to do an initial clean out and then two maintenance clean-outs (had an issue that resulted in interruption of that plan), then run the recommended HSS interval every third oil change thereafter. Will running the HSS in the described fashion create an issue over just 5w40 synthetic? The truck seemed to really like the HHS and responded very well to it when I ran it the 1st time and successive time on the maintenance dose? Also, can this be run every oil change?

I have been using HSS products for the last 5 years in my ’05 6.0 to prevent trouble. And the company backs up it’s claims with testing and refunds if you’re not happy with the results.

    (verified owner)

I was skeptical but, I added 2quarts to my 15 quart oil change in a 2003 6.0 liter powerstroke. This thing was not running well at all. After driving about 35 or 40 miles on the interstate I noticed it smoothing out. By the end of the day and about 300 miles my truck ran better, idled better and accelerated better. Now with almost 1000 miles it runs almost like it did 147000 miles ago.
This stuff is pricey but well worth it ! Especially with the guarantee.
    Thanks guys !

    Question

Had issues with a 07 Chevy Traverse, the cylinder closest to the fire wall has a cooling issue and a lot of build up. With that the VVT is not doing what it is suppose to do. Changed all the cam position sensors, with only 70000 miles I don’t thing it is the cam chain. After some research found out this is a common problem. This brings me to you and giving you product a try. I figure it is a 50/50 chance it will clear the problem before a 2000.- cam chain replacement. Your thoughts!

Hello, you are good to go in that particular tractor with no EGR and DPF concerns. Initial cleaning product for the oil system is Stiction Eliminator, followed by FR3 Friction Reducer for maintenance.

I’m assuming this is a diesel, since you mentioned DPF. In that case the Diesel Extreme is the initial fuel system cleaner, with EDT (Everyday Diesel Treatment) in every tank for cetane boost and lubricity.

I also used the diesel extreme in the fuel, just before I drove to Phoenix. The truck ran Great. I notice an increase the fuel mileage and and a smoother running truck. Thanks

    Question

I have a 550 caterpillar with old injectors. My manifold pressure has slowly decreased from 42 psi down to around 24 since I’ve had it rebuilt 130000 miles to go. My mechanic told me I need to replace my injectors will this help and is it any danger of damaging the motor at all? I’m a little nervous since I just spent $14,000 to rebuild it.

Hi Benny, I did some research and cannot quickly confirm if that engine has HEUI injectors. If so, this is definitely the product to use without worry, plus a treatment of Diesel Extreme.

If it does not have HEUI (oil-fired) injectors, the Diesel Extreme fuel additive is the product to use first, and we guarantee it will help, thanks!

    Question

Hey I have a 2006 F250 6.0L diesel, it’s got 73k miles on it I was wanting to start using this to maintain the life of it. I’ve never used it before so would you recommend doing the initial cleanout or just do the “maintenance”. And just to be clear, the truck holds 15qts of oil, so for instance for the “maintenance” would I replace a qt of oil with this or what? Sorry if it’s a dumb question

Hi Chris, don’t think about a rebuild yet until you try the Diesel Duo! The Diesel Extreme Fuel additive will clean the injectors and fuel system in the first tank-full or 2.

While the Stiction Eliminator won’t “fix” non-HEUI injectors, with that many miles, it will restore everything the oil comes in contact with. Keep us posted on results and remember we have a money-back guarantee!

Hello! I would say besides our Blue Diamond Oil, the Shell Rotella T6 is one great option for synthetic in a 7.3L. Also, it is a disproven fact that it will hurt to switch between regular, semi-synthetic, and full-synthetic oils; especially in “modern” engines.

If you are still not convinced, you’ll still have great results with Stiction Eliminator in any oil!

For your Mazdaspeed3, I’d recommend a dose of our Stiction Eliminator to get the oil system cleaned out. Everything from the oil pump, to the turbo bearing and oil control ring will be cleaned. Following up with our FR3 would be the next step, this ensures both wear reduction and engine restoration. In a 2007 Dodge Ram, we saw a dyno-proven 5% horsepower increase using FR3. Turbo engines, whether diesel or gasoline, love the friction reduction of FR3.

4 out of 5 The original stiction eliminator

I was impressed by the warranty for the diesel guys and when I found I could use it on my gas truck I jumped at the chance. I have a 2008 Dodge Ram pick-up with the 5.7 Hemi and I have 113,000 miles on it. I wanted to make sure I can double that so I wanted to give the stiction eliminator a try. I added both it and about 10.5 oz. of FR3 at my last oil change and will give it some time to see if I notice a change,

Hi Brad, I would recommend 16 oz. Unless you have higher mileage or problems, you can use about 75% of the 1 quart bottle like the customer below. Thanks! SE Ecoboost

    Question

I don’t see any reviews for a Ram EcoDiesel. I have a 2016, no apparent power lose or issues but thought I would start treating my oil with this to avoid future issues. I have 10k miles and it might be my imagination but it seems like my mph has fallen off a touch.. Thoughts?

Hi Corey, With that few miles, Stiction Eliminator won’t be necessary but FR3 Friction Reducer will keep the oil system clean long term. Most importantly, though, we strongly recommend treating the fuel system with Diesel Extreme followed by EDT. There are some YouTube videos with great EcoDiesel results plus the testimonial below!

      Tom Wilson – December 31, 2016
“I recently purchased a 2015 Ram EcoDiesel that was a trade-in. It had 98K miles on it. After driving it 400 miles home I got my first engine code: Turbo underboost sitting at idle. GULP????? Bad Turbo? now what?. After going to a local dealer and talking to guys on forums, it kept happening. Of course it would go into limp mode when the code was set so all I could do was reset the code and keep on trucking. Finally, one day I got an injector code along with the turbo underboost, and I wondered “dirty Injectors?”. So i got the Hot Shot Secret Diesel Extreme and put it through my system. I doubled the initial dose-I wanted to hit it hard. Well that did the trick. I have not had one turbo code or injector code Since I used the Diesel Extreme. (P.S. I since have concluded and have evidence that the dealer where I bought the vehicle knew about the codes, and had replaced the ECM among other things to deal with the problem- to no avail). I got a great deal on an EcoDiesel because the dealer was scared of it, and it only needed Hot Shot Secret to make it run like new.! thanks for a great product. I’m sold.”

Hi Jonathan, with that few miles we recommend holding off using Stiction Eliminator. If you are looking for wear protection and keeping stiction at bay, I highly recommend our FR3 Friction Reducer…thanks!

I just did an oil change on my 6.0 a week. And. Just bought ur product today, can I just drain 2 qts out and just add the hot shot ? Or do I have to do a whole fresh oil change ?

Mike, if the oil only has a few hundred miles on it, then you’ll be alright draining the two quarts of oil out, then refilling with the Stiction Eliminator. Anything over 1,000 miles I’d recommend to hold off until the next oil change, but sounds like we don’t have to worry about that.

We have a money back guarantee, so if you’re experiencing stiction issues that you need corrected, and you don’t see maximum results or are not satisfied, let us know and we can send another bottle to run with a fresh oil change.

I have a 2006 F350 6.0l and it started to blow some black smoke, a lag at takeoff and lost power. EGR valve was cleaned and nothing changed. I purchased the diesel duo and FR3. How many ounces of each should I put in the oil?

John, we’ve had great success with the cam phasers on the 5.4’s. We offer a money back guarantee on our products, I’d recommend starting with Stiction Eliminator when trying to chase down a cam phaser issue; even if the issue ends up being somewhere else we still honor the guarantee. Keep us in the loop!

Do 6.0 engines need more lubricant in the fuel because of low sulfur fuel?

Since 6.0L’s were made before the ULSD mandate, they were designed to run on fuel that contained more lubricity than what we find in pumps nowadays. Biodiesel has helped restore some of that lubricity, but running an additive like our Everyday Diesel Treatment (EDT) is very beneficial for every diesel on the road today and 1-2 ounces will treat an entire tank so the treatment cost is minimal.

I’ve seen this product advertised extensively on many of the Saturday morning car shows. Excellent results in cleaning internal parts of stiction and a noticeable improvement in power ! I’m beyond impressed and ordering more for future maintenance.

    Question

    (verified owner)

I have a duramax lly , it has 10 quarts of engine oil. 64 oz seems too much based on your chart ? I was going to use 32 oz for initial cleanup or should I use 48 oz? shouldn’t the oil filter be changed faster since stiction will be released?

I’d recommend a 32oz initial dose, and then a 16oz dose every third oil change. Our Stiction Eliminator attacks stiction and carbon build up on a molecular level to prevent damage to the engine, clogging of pickup screens or plugging of oil filters. When you drain the oil the contaminants will be flushed out. Thanks Peter!

5 out of 5 A Must For Preventive Maintenance in Fleet Vehicles

    (verified owner)

2002 F350 7.3, with about 210k. When buying this product I was skeptical about it, seeing how there’s no body I know personally who uses this and I couldn’t find a review of it on Youtube from a individual’s point of view. So instead of buying the 2 quart bottle I bought a 32 ounce bottle of it. My oil had already been changed a week or so ago before adding it. And I didn’t want to drain 2 whole quarts of fresh oil out. So I just drained 1 quart/32 ounces. Now knowing it probably wouldn’t work as fast as if it had been full strength or not. I took a shot in the dark. What I realized is that I should have used 2 quarts, because unlike other products, this stuff worked within 1000 miles. My injectors and engine bay is a lot quieter than before. It idles smoother than it has in 2 years. I also added the Diesel Extreme to the fuel and FR3 in with the oil when it needs topping off. My truck outperforms the other trucks in the fleet.
