Frantz Synthetic Filter Media

Frantz Filter has created a melt-blown synthetic oil filter media that has a graduated stage process that filters down to 2 microns, yielding true depth filtration. The filter media has been created from 100% polypropylene and lasts two to three times longer* than cellulose media. Synthetic oil filter media has two other advantages: it has more consistent flow rate and holds its form better than cellulose-based filter media.

What is the width of this roll? And, what is the internal tube diameter? I would like to try this on my older Frantz filter that was originally using the 4.5″ roll with the 1.5″ inner tube.

The synthetic filter media is a good alternative to using paper. Paper may be slightly better at cleaning the oil, but does not last as long. Both the paper and synthetic filter out all wear particles, so this gives us choice and convenience.
