Should I use FR3 or TBN in my 3.0 ram? So far I have use Stiction Eliminator(1st) and FR3(2nd) for the two oil changes I have done.

Hi Jarett, definitely keep using the FR3 for a few more oil changes before a half-maintenance-dose of Stiction Eliminator! No need for TBN unless doing extended oil changes with a lab analysis that reports otherwise. Hope that helps!

Yes, FR3 loves synthetic oil, including Royal Purple in a Harley. If you are using our old Friction Reducer in your 6.7L, and are pleased with it, definitely try the new and improved FR3 when you run out!

5 out of 5 did the job

    gdjukic

Ordered and used to raise TBN since oil analysis showed sudden drop. New oil analysis has shown that job is done. Good product!

That really depends on the type of oil you are using and your truck in particular. We recommend getting an oil analysis to determine the proper time to use. We do offer oil analysis kits, and the Frantz bypass filter for long change intervals…

    Maintaining high TBN

I use the TBN Booster for long oil change intervals, along with a secondary bypass filter. Only a small amount is needed, so a bottle will last a long time.

Hi Larry! Definitely start with the Stiction Eliminator … then FR3 the following oil changes! (no need for TBN Booster unless you are doing extended oil changes & frequent analysis; ideally with a bypass filter).

My truck has some other oil additives in it , but the truck is still sticky. This has 5w20, and another truck uses 10w20; do you have something I can top off the crank case, but are usable for both oil types?
This is the second time I ask this question, but I got no answer from a similar question a month ago.
Perhaps those had fallen on deaf ears. Could any of you step up and address this issue for me, please?

Apologize for any delay! Instead of the TBN Booster, highly recommend using FR3 Friction Reducer at up to 1.5 oz per quart of oil (great for both types of oil!)

INCREASES TBN UP TO 7 POINTS.

TBN Booster is the only fortified engine oil stabilizer that increases total base number (TBN) and viscosity by replenishing the detergents and dispersants that are naturally lost over time. When these detergent and dispersant additives are replenished, your oil will be able to effectively neutralize the acidic conditions that corrode your engine. TBN Booster is a concentrated formula that contains 100% active ingredients of a CK-4 Additive Package, a TBN Booster and the infusion of Hot Shot’s Secret FR3 FRICTION REDUCER.

CAUTION: Do not overdose vehicles with a diesel particulate filler.

Hot Shot’s Secret TBN Booster was formulated to extend the oil drain intervals of vehicles needing extended service when used in conjunction with our Blue Diamond Engine Oil or other diesel engine oils. TBN Booster can be used with synthetic or conventional engine oils.

Many drivers are using bypass engine oil filters to extend the drain interval of the engine oil. The engine oil is kept clean but the additives are depleted. Adding TBN Booster will resolve this issue. It will provide the engine oil the additives to effectively neutralize the acid and disperse the soot. Servicing and maintenance times can be significantly reduced due to the increase in neutralization number added to the engine oil.
