Benefits

Hot Shot’s Diesel Winter Anti-Gel works to lower the cold filter plugging point (CFPP) of your diesel fuel. This fuel additive helps prevent clogged fuel filters and fuel lines during cold winter months. Diesel Winter Anti-Gel also improves the quality of standard diesel fuels in terms of detergency, stability, lubricity, winter operability, and even boosts the fuel’s cetane number.

Prop 65 Warning SymbolWARNING: Cancer – www.P65Warnings.ca.gov

Designed for use in all diesel engines including but not limited to Dodge Cummins, GM Duramax, Ford Powerstroke, Semi Trucks, Marine, Agriculture, and standard automotive vehicles.

Minimum recommended storage: 32°F. Guaranteed -65°F when added to diesel fuel.

Directions:

For proper treatment ratios, please refer to the measurements below:

  1. – A 4 oz. bottle of diesel anti-gel treats 31 gallons of diesel fuel.
  2. – A 16 oz. bottle of diesel anti-gel treats 125 gallons of diesel fuel & 125 gallons of B20 #2 diesel fuel.
  3. – A 1 quart bottle of diesel anti-gel treats 250 gallons of diesel fuel.

To use Hot Shot’s Diesel Winter Anti-Gel, simply add the specified amount of fuel additive into the fuel tank each time before refueling. This ensures proper blending with your diesel fuel to maximize the effectiveness of the product.

Recommended Frequency:

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel should be used anytime temperatures drop below 32°F. We recommend using the anti-gel additive each time you fill your fuel tank to ensure proper mixing with your diesel fuel and to maximize effectiveness at preventing clogged fuel filters.

Uses:

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is safe in all diesel engines including semi-trucks, pick-up trucks, farm equipment and standard sized automotive vehicles. This includes but is not limited to use in Ford Powerstroke, Dodge Cummins, GM Duramax, Saab, Volkswagen, and Audi diesel engines.

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel adds “Premium Diesel” qualities to standard diesel fuel in terms of detergency, stability, lubricity, winter operability, and improved cetane number. Standard diesel fuel contains wax in suspension which is liquid at normal temperatures. As temperatures drop, these wax crystals drop out of suspension, solidify, and stick together. These wax crystals in turn clog fuel lines and cause additional problems for diesel engines.

Our effective anti-gel additive greatly improves cold temperature performance by lowering the cloud point of the fuel. This increases the lubricity of the wax molecules within the fuel and prevents them from sticking together. Since the wax crystals can no longer stick together this prevents the wax from clogging lines & filters in the fuel system.

Additional properties provide further winter protection against freeze-ups. Diesel Winter Anti-Gel also contains a powerful cetane improver for quicker cold starts and a maximum boost in power and performance. Hot Shot’s Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is recommended for use in all diesel engines.

The Science

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel should be used in every fill-up during the cold winter months. Recommended treatment rates are 1:1000 for #2 diesel.

The sulfur content of this diesel fuel additive does not exceed 15 ppm. This diesel fuel additive complies with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and non-road engines.

    Proven Results

Bought this because I anticipated hard winter starts on my heavily modded 97 Ram 12v Cummins. I was sold on it when I saw the youtube videos testing it against the others- this brand had superior lubricity and scored highly in all metrics.

I had this already added to my 97 Ram, but had NOT yet added it to my 2018 Ford Transit 3.2L Powerstroke when the temps dipped to -1°F (maybe -25°F with wind chill). Both vehicles are parked outside, fully exposed to the elements. Both vehicles had the same brand of “winterized” fuel in it.

The transit’s fuel filter became partially partially plugged at that temp, even though it ran fine the day before at 8°F all day. But at -1°F, it started but could not maintain a speed greater than 10mph and nearly left us stranded. “Fuel Filter blockage” error message with check engine light. Drove the Ram with no issues. Thankfully I had enough of this on hand to mix into the transit’s fuel tank and was able to flush out the blockage completely within about 2 hours of run time so I didn’t have to pull the filter.

Since then the temperatures in WI have dropped more, down to -10°F (-35°F with wind chill), and now the Transit has no blockages or issues. Again, the only thing that changed is that we added this Hot Shots Winter Anti-Gel and the temperature dropped another 10°.
The Ram of course still has no issues. Has started on the coldest days and runs hard and strong with a clear fuel system, thanks to this stuff.

No more trusting the fuel stations to winterize my fuel, I’ll do it right with this stuff.

Yesterday, the Midwest was the coldest place on earth. I have been using this product in my 2013 6.7 powerstroke since winter started and have had zero issues, only benefits.

Frequently Asked Questions About Diesel Winter Anti-Gel

You count on your diesel anti-gel additive to keep your engine running in cold weather conditions, so you want to choose a product you feel confident will perform to your expectations. To make an informed purchasing decision, review the answers to some common questions about Diesel Winter Anti-Gel. You can also reach out to our team online for additional information.

How does Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Anti-Gel work?

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel works to improve winter operability using three different chemicals — a wax modifier, a wax anti-settling agent and a military-grade de-icer. The wax modifier significantly reduces the point at which wax in diesel fuel solidifies, and the wax anti-settling agent keeps the wax dispersed once the precipitation temperature is reached. Finally, the de-icer disperses moisture, preventing it from clogging and freezing fuel filters in temperatures as low as -40 °F.

The recommended treatment ratio for Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Anti-Gel with #2 diesel is 1:1,000. Therefore, use approximately 1 ounce of anti-gel for every 8 gallons of fuel for the best results.

Will Diesel Winter Anti-Gel work with my engine?

Our anti-gel formula is safe for use in all diesel engines, including marine, semitruck, construction, agriculture, RV and racing engines. Just a few popular engines, Diesel Winter Anti-Gel effectively treats engine models from Cummins, Saab, GM’s Duramax, and the Ford Power Stroke.

When should I add Diesel Winter Anti-Gel?

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is the ideal fuel additive to use in cold weather when you want to improve cold starts, prevent gelling and icing, reduce fuel line freeze, boost cetane and improve fuel economy. Add one treatment of Diesel Winter Anti-Gel with every fill-up for consistent protection against low-temperature performance issues.

Please note that Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is intended for everyday cold weather use. For emergency situations in which fuel or fuel filters have already frozen, use Hot Shot’s Secret Diesel Winter Rescue.

Can I use Diesel Winter Anti-Gel with Everyday Diesel Treatment (EDT)?

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel provides all the same protections and benefits of Everyday Diesel Treatment -EDT with the addition of an anti-gel. All you need to use is Diesel Winter Anti-Gel.

Can I use Diesel Winter Anti-Gel with biodiesel?

We do not recommend using Diesel Winter Anti-Gel with diesel blends containing more than 20% biodiesel.

How should I store Diesel Winter Anti-Gel?

Once mixed with diesel, our anti-gel additive protects fuel to temperatures as low as -65° F. However, the freezing point of Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is higher before it is added to diesel. We recommend storing the product at a minimum temperature of 20°F for this reason. You should also take care to keep the product away from sources of ignition and always reseal the container tightly to prevent leaks. For more detailed storage and use information, see the official safety data sheet.

Will using Diesel Winter Anti-Gel void my engine’s warranty?

No, using Diesel Winter Anti-Gel will not cause damage to your engine or void your manufacturer’s warranty. That’s a guarantee.
