A true PAO oil stands in a category of its own above all other synthetic formulas. Hot Shot’s Secret 5W40 CK4 specification is 100% pure synthetic using only Group IV and Group V base oils.

The 5W40 PAO CK4 is made of pure poly-alpha olefin (PAO) oils that require a very small amount of viscosity improvers to meet the weight specifications This allows the Hot Shot PAO 5W40 diesel synthetic oil to be loaded with more longevity and performance additives, keeping the oil cleaner longer and providing better mileage and horsepower.

The infusion of our patented FR3 Nano-Technology and CK-4 additive package provides unsurpassed levels of longevity and performance.

FR3 Friction Reducer® is specifically designed to reduce friction and minimize wear within an engine’s moving parts. Blue Diamond oil is recommended for most diesel engines. The CK-4 specification is backwards compatibles with the CJ-4 and the CI4 Plus. In addition to the CK-4 specification, Blue Diamond PAO Oil meets the requirements from Ford for added wear protection as stated in Ford Specification WSS-M2C171-F1 (not all CK4 specifications meet both the CK4 and the Ford spec).

    Extended drain intervals during warranty period.

    Should I take advantage of the extended drain intervals with this oil while my truck (2019 Ram Cummins diesel) is still under warranty? I do oil analysis every 5k miles. Also, if do eventually do extended drain intervals, how often should I replace the filter? I do not know of a filter that claims to last as long as 20 to 30k miles. I was planning on doing 20k intervals since my truck already advises 15k. 20k seems easier to keep track of and is better for the environment and wallet.

      On year 2 of BlueDiamond without an oil change!!! 2006 F250. I also run EDT on the fuel side. I am very happy with the results. Its time for me to check the oil again but the engine is running top notch unaffected by freezing temps or hot days. The $s saved by not changing the oil every 2-3 months and dealing with the hiccups sometimes experienced with season temps is great.

    I’m running a 2016 Freightliner Cascadia 14.8 Detroit DD15. I already use your Stiction Eliminator with my regular changes and it’s done amazing things. I’m looking to switch my engine oil to your Diamond Series, but I’m wondering which would be the better performance option, the standard or PAO oil? I’m using 15w40. Using regular over-the-road applications (short and long haul mileage under normal driving conditions). Thanks!

      I will say that you will always be better off using the Blue Diamond oil , however it is made to be ran with extended drain intervals with regular [10-15k] oil analysis . It is not cost effective to buy Blue Diamond and not get the full potential from it. The Green Diamond is a great fleet oil that will out perform the other non PAOs on the market. Regular oil analysis is the ticket to getting the most from any oil. Also if you run our oils you will no longer need the Stiction Eliminator or FR3.
