Hot Shot’s Secret BLUE DIAMOND SEVERE DUTY TRANSMISSION FLUID was formulated for severe-duty applications. The formulas are based on 100% poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV and high-quality Group V synthetic oils, infused with our FR3 Nano Technology, that protects against the major causes of transmission breakdown and helps extend transmission life.

This SAE 50 formula helps with temperature reduction inside the transmission. BLUE DIAMOND G56 will provide increased oxidation resistance, thermal stability, deposit and sludge prevention, reduced breakdown, longer drain intervals and higher wear resistance than competitors.

      The NV-4500 takes a synchromesh transmission fluid which is about the same viscosity as a 20 weight motor oil. The G56 fluid is similar in viscosity to a 50 weight motor oil. We are in the final process of developing a synchromesh fluid for this application, but it is not ready for market at this time.

      That being said, some folks in warmer climates use a straight weight 50 oil or a 75W-90 gear oil (similar viscosity to 50 weight motor oil) in their NV-4500’s with good results. There is nothing in the G56 fluid that will cause compatibility issues and it is safe for all of the synchronizers and bushings, but it may be a touch thick and create a situation where it will take a little more effort going into gear because of the thicker viscosity.

    Best fluid for G56. I have tried many including some mix 3 of this and 3 of that. This is by far the best shift quality and lower noise.
