BLUE DIAMOND SEVERE DUTY GEAR OIL was formulated for severe duty applications. The gear oil additive formulas are based on 100% poly-alpha-olefin (PAO) Group IV and high-quality Group V synthetic oils. The infusion of our patented FR3 Nano Technology and high zinc additive package extends the performance and anti-wear protection to levels unmatched by any other gear oil on the market. BLUE DIAMOND heavy duty gear oil also provides increased oxidation and thermal stability, deposit and sludge prevention, reduced oil breakdown, high wear resistance and longer drain intervals.     I have used the Hot Shot’s Blue Diamond Severe Duty Gear Oil on my Ram 3500 rear differential and am getting ready to change out the front diff this weekend. Use Hot Shot’s Secret exclusively on my Ram 3500. I even added the Franz Bypass Oil Filter. Love all of their products. Head and shoulders above the competition!

    I”m considering using this when I change out the diff fluid for my 2019 Silverado 3500HD. This is mainly a tow vehicle all kinds of road conditions. Will this be ok to use?

      Your vehicle has the G80 locking differential. the G80 locking differential requires a 75w-90 gear oil. we currently offer our blue diamond S9 gear oil that will work for this application. You do NOT need a limited slip additive for this differential.

      The front calls for 80w90. S9 Blue Diamond is what you need. The M275 calls for 75w140 S14 Blue Diamond will be what you need for the rear. If you have a limited slip diff please use the factory additive they recommend for it.

      Our Adrenaline R9 gear oil exceeds the specification GL-5 that your axle requires. If you were to use our fluid, it will work with both limited slip and open differential. (However, if your Dana 80 is specifically a limited slip differential, you would have to use a limited slip additive that we do not offer at this time.) Hope that helps!

      A 2016 Dodge Ram 2500 is mounted with the 6-speed manual G56 transmission. We currently do not offer a transmission fluid that complies with the specification that the G56 requires, however we are currently in the process of formulating and testing a G56 specific gear oil, thanks!
