Is this ok for a 1991 7.3 IDI which normally takes green coolant?

Our 150,000 Mile Heavy Duty Extended Life red antifreeze exceeds your vehicles ESE-M97B44-A antifreeze specification and is safe for replacing your current antifreeze, however do not mix with other antifreeze.

I am quite perplexed by your answer, Levi! Did you not advertise that the coolant is compatible with all the antifreezes? If yes, why do you say do not mix with other antifreeze? Does that mean this is not good for topping off the low antifreeze in the radiator and its plastic reservoir? This is very contradictory!

R&D –
We typically do not recommend mixing past 10% with other types of antifreeze due to a very small chance that there is confliction with the additive packages. However, depending on how low your antifreeze is, our 150k antifreeze can be used with no harm as a top off fluid.

Coolant for engine life

I personally would not run coolant for 150,000 miles unless there is a coolant filter installed. For my engines without a coolant filter, I drain and refill every two to three years. I trust Hot Shot’s extended life coolant for deposit control water pump seal lube, and corrosion protection.
