    Winter anti-gel worked last winter

    Willie

Used this last winter in North Dakota. Was not a really cold winter with only 3 nights of 30 below temperatures and 34 below the coldest. The diesel ran OK all winter long. We get weeks with minus 15 or so the high. Waiting for one of the heavy winters with 45 below for a number of days to a couple weeks and will know for sure on this.
Fuel is from the North Dakota refiners and it comes from the Baaken formation – a sweet crude. Very nice diesel fuel the guys say will work to 40 below.(their winter formulation) I add this Hot Shot Secret to it for the extra peace of mind and last winter it was fine. If I use Cenex diesel I have problems, no matter what they say. Tried it three times in winter and problems with it each time. So, the stuff from the Baaken crude – and this additive. Will see how it goes this winter.

    Diesel Winter Anti-Gel

    Ken

I use this every winter when the temp gets down to the single digits. I have never had a problem yet but before my diesel would gel up and I would be stranded in the middle of nowhere.

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel provides “Premium Diesel” qualities to standard diesel fuels in terms of detergency, stability, lubricity, winter operability, and cetane number. Diesel fuel contains wax, as temperatures drop these wax crystals clog fuel lines and cause problems for diesel engines. Our effective anti-gel additive greatly improves cold temperature performance and helps prevent the wax in the fuel from clogging lines. Additional properties provide further winter protection against freeze-ups. In addition, Diesel Winter Anti-Gel contains a powerful cetane improver for quicker cold starts and a maximum boost in power and performance. Diesel Winter Anti-Gel is recommended for ALL diesel engines.

Diesel Winter Anti-Gel should be used in every fill-up during the cold winter months. Recommended treatment rates are 1:1000 for #2 diesel.

The sulfur content of this diesel fuel additive does not exceed 15 ppm. This diesel fuel additive complies with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and nonroad engines.
